Close Gift Card Loophole Name*: Email*: Street Address*: City*: Zip*: Message*: Dear Legislator, I am writing to you to show my support for HB 2094 and HB 2095, which would close a loophole that currently allows wealthy corporations to pocket my unused gift card and app balances. Many corporations exploit this loophole by making it harder for us to cash out our balances or spend them down without reloading our apps. It is not right that corporations rake in about $250 million dollars per year this way. I think Washington should follow the example of other states that return funds to the consumers, and use any unclaimed money to fund our communities, including schools, housing, and human services.
